We take care of your personal data

Adriatic Croatia International Club, za djelatnost marina d.d. /for the activity of marinas Plc./  (hereinafter: ACI d.d.) is a society registered for the activity of marinas, and is the largest system of marinas on the Mediterranean and the leading Croatian nautical company.

The protection of your data is our priority. This document explains which personal data will be collected and how, the reasons for their collection, and to whom they can be made available or delivered. Please read this document carefully.

Who is the processing Controller?

The Controller is a legal or natural person that determines and controls the purposes and means of personal data processing in paper and electronic form. ACI d.d. is the processing Controller on the basis of the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data, i.e. the Law on the implementation of the General Regulation on data protection and the General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data.

Which personal data will be collected?

We will collect and process various types of personal data, such as basic personal data (i.e. name and surname, gender, date of birth, personal identification number), your contact information (address, email, phone, etc.), all for the purpose of concluding a berthing contract for your vessel.

In addition to the above mentioned data, and in order to respect the legal obligations, we will ask for your identification document, country of birth, citizenship, and if needed, bank account number.

In order to ensure network and information security of the IT and WiFi systems, we may collect the IP address of the WiFi system users in ACI marinas and of our Web pages visitors.

The processing of personal data via video monitoring is carried out for the purposes of protection of persons and property, and is made in the business premises (reception of the marina) and the public area (piers), and of which you are informed by labels visible on the buildings within the area of the marina.

How will we collect and use your personal data?

We will collect and use personal data as stated below:

As stated above, and for the above purposes, we will process your personal data that we receive from you.

We would like to inform you that once the processing of your personal data is done, on the basis of our legitimate interests or for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object.

Furthermore, you can withdraw your consent at any time through the form delivered by e-mail or by post to the contacts listed under point 9. You can download the form for the withdrawal of consent on the web page www.aci-marinas.com.

A consequence of the refusal of providing data or giving inaccurate data may be the inability of conclusion of a business relationship with you, or the refusal of conclusion of a contract.

Who will have access to your personal data?

We will ensure the processing of your personal data in a manner that is compliant with the purpose of processing.

If it is necessary in order to meet the stated purposes, access to your data can have:

  • state bodies in accordance with legal obligations (for example Tax administration, Ministry of finance, Customs administration, judicial and other governmental bodies, auditors)

If it is necessary in order to meet the specific purposes, your personal data may be disclosed to the following parties:

  • external service providers (insurance companies and insurance brokers, certified auditors and lawyers, etc.).

Personal data can be also transferred in the following cases:

  • in order to fulfil legal obligations, including the competent bodies involved in resolving your complaint

Where will personal data be processed?

Your data is processed within the Republic of Croatia by ACI d.d.. For the purposes of direct marketing ACI d.d. can use a service which is located outside of the European economic area, in which case the IMPLEMENTING DECISIONS of the COMMISSION (EU) 2016/1250 from July 12th, 2016 on the adequacy of protection in the framework of the European-American system of privacy protection in accordance with Directive 95/46/EZ of the European Parliament and of the Council is applied.

Your personal data will not be disclosed to persons who are not authorized to process them.

If your data is processed on the basis of contractual relations mentioned under point 4, they are subject to contractual provisions on confidentiality and security in accordance with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data.

What are your rights regarding personal data?

When is it allowed by the applicative regulation, through a written request you have the right to:

  • issue certificates on the processing of personal data,
  • access to your personal information and obtain information about the source of personal data, the purpose and duration of processing, the categories of personal data, the intended period in which personal information will be stored, data on the Controller of processing, on the Processors and the recipients to whom personal data can be disclosed,
  • withdraw the given consent at any time if your data are processed on the basis of the given consent,
  • correct or update your data, in order to keep the data always accurate
  • delete your personal data if they are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were processed,
  • limit the processing of your personal data in specific cases, such as when you dispute the accuracy of your personal data, in the period that we need to verify the accuracy of the data,
  • portability of own personal data in electronic form, i.e. receive personal information and/or transfer them directly to another Controller and
  • enter a complain to us and/or to the competent supervisory body (the Agency for the protection of personal data, azop@azop.hr).

You can exercise these rights by using the provided forms available on the website or in person by contacting us as described in point 9.

How can I oppose to the processing of my personal data?

When it is allowed by the applicative regulation, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data, or require from us the cessation of processing of your personal data. After you inform us about this requirement, we will not process your data, except when processing is allowed by the applicative regulation.

You can exercise this right in the same way as the other rights listed under point 6.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We keep your personal data in accordance with the deadlines specified by the Act on accounting, the Law on prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism, the Law on value added tax and other laws that apply to our business.

We will not keep your personal information for longer than it is specified by the regulations and we will keep them only and solely for the purposes for which they were collected.
