‘No one has ever made history as a great player by playing it safe,’ Valentino Rossi, one of the world’s greatest sports stars – who we interviewed for the third issue of our yachting, lifestyle and luxury magazine – emphatically asserted.

It was ACI that made the history of sailing 33 years ago, gambling on vision, courage and innovation. That year, 1987, marked the first ACI Match Race Cup taking place in Rovinj – a regatta that, in its 26 seasons, has put Croatia on the world nautical map.

This year’s issue of ACI No. 1 magazine is largely dedicated to a new, bold, creative and visionary project called ACI Sail. The largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean has partnered with Nautor’s Swan, one of the world’s most respected yachting brands, to start a project that will completely change the experience of sailing in the Adriatic and enrich Croatia’s offer to tourists. In keeping with the title of the magazine, ACI is the very first company in the world that sails successfully into the future with its unique ACI Sail ClubSwan 36 training centre.

Excellence, leadership, energy, enthusiasm and dedication have become the leitmotiv of our magazine for the third year in a row. On its pages, exceptional people both from Croatia and of international renown have shared – in these, for all humanity, challenging and interesting times – their experiences and thoughts that can serve as inspiration to all. We have the great pleasure to present our new four-language issue of ACI No. 1 magazine featuring Lewis Hamilton, the current Formula One world champion, Leonardo Ferragamo, the owner of Nautor’s Swan and one of the most successful Italian businessmen, Pete Radovich, one of the world’s most awarded TV producers, and many other interesting persons and topics, including the complete catalogue of all our marinas.
We extend our grateful thanks to all those who have participated in the making of the new issue of the magazine. Their knowledge, skills and passion, as well as their love of the sea and boating, have been crucial to achieving the best results in keeping with ACI’s reputation.

Fair winds and following seas to all our guests and boaters in the Adriatic!
